High Schools

Universal Placement Program offers students the opportunity to study at Private High schools located throughout the United States. Students can attend from 1 to 4 years at a high school and study alongside other international and US students.

These schools are caredully selected and have very high academic standards and excellent facilities. Our private high schools fall into 2 categories:

Private Boarding Schools

Private boarding high schools provide an intellectually challenging environment to help you in your personal development and reach your greatest possible academic achievements. You will live in a school dormitory supervised by at least one live-in school staff member. You will share a bedroom with at least one or two other students and eat most of your meals in the school cafeteria. Private boarding schools encourage each student to be an important part of the school community so you will be expected to participate in a variety of clubs and/or sports in order to strengthen your involvement in that community. Admission standards at private boarding schools can range from moderately difficult to extremely selective. Some private boarding schools provide international students with additional English classes to help them transition into regular academic courses. The total cost of attending a private boarding school for one school year, September – June, generally ranges between US$30,000 – US$40,000, with some schools costing less and other schools costing more. Because of the academic and personal skills that private boarding schools help students develop, private boarding school graduates have very high acceptance rates to the best universities in the USA.

Private Day Schools

As a student at a private day school, you can expect your educational experience to also have a strong emphasis on academic achievement with many opportunities to become involved in a variety of extracurricular activities. Students who attend private day schools will live with local American families who provide a home away from home environment and will help you get adjusted to life in the United States. Admission standards at private day schools can also range from moderately difficult to extremely selective. Some private day schools provide international students with additional English classes to help them transition into regular academic courses. The total cost of attending a private day school for one school year, September – June, generally ranges between US$25,000 – US$35,000. Private day school graduates also have very high acceptance rates to top universities in the USA.
